1081 Mt. Bachelor

Situated along Century Drive in Bend, the location of this ground-up multifamily is ideal for residents who want easy access to the Deschutes River, Mt. Bachelor, and the recreational activities in the Deschutes National Forest. The site’s natural features—including a boulder outcrop and large native pine trees—inspired the building’s design aesthetic. Our design team responded to the existing topography and site features, which allowed us to place a portion of on-site parking under the building. We were also able to screen all parking from the surrounding roadways. We paid careful attention to the building’s relationship with the adjacent Haul Trail, a popular running, walking, and biking path extending to the Deschutes River. An outdoor plaza between the two buildings provides an opportunity for residents to relax. Other amenities include a co-working space, two rooftop clubrooms and game rooms, yoga and fitness studios, saunas, and bike/gear storage.
