NATHANAEL WERNER, AIA, NCARB
Project Architect
Nathanael is drawn to steep climbs and breathtaking vistas, both literally and metaphorically. Whether traversing a mountainside or working through a design challenge, he finds that an uphill drive sharpens his focus and builds resilience. And that final view from the top provides both perspective and reward.
A licensed architect in Oregon and Washington, Nathanael has experience with educational, commercial, industrial, residential, high-tech, retail, and hospitality projects. He holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington.
Nathanael began his career in 2006 at a high-end residential firm on Bainbridge Island, Washington, managing custom homes, remodels, mixed-use projects, and master planning. After graduate school, he relocated to Central Oregon and focused on educational facilities from preK-12 to higher education. He then expanded his portfolio to include complex commercial, industrial, and high-tech projects. Most recently, as an architect, he led design, managed client relationships, and delivered projects from concept through construction for both public and private clients.
He has contributed to large-scale public school projects in Bend, Hermiston, Madras, and Redmond, Oregon. A highly organized architect, Nathanael is known for a collaborative approach, transparent leadership, and building trust with clients and teams.
Professionally motivated by purposeful work, he particularly enjoys leading mission-driven, community-focused design projects. Nathanael values a collaborative design process and the lasting impact architecture can have on communities. He is currently enrolled in Leadership Bend, a program focused on developing local leaders.
Outside of work, Nathanael enjoys running, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, volunteering, and spending time outdoors with family.
