The Lookout

A mixed-use, multifamily development designed with an eye toward Central Oregon’s natural beauty

This mixed-use, multifamily project in Bend, Oregon, includes design features inspired by the tall, crisscross structures of fire watchtowers found throughout our local public lands. Our team also pulled colors and textures from Smith Rock State Park and integrated them into the project’s interiors and exteriors. Lookouts, like the one pictured below on Black Butte, offer a place to get away from the chaos of daily life and watch the natural world from above. We designed this building to give residents that same feeling of quiet respite from the busy streets below.
